Immediately outside the front door to 17 The Courtyards, and the communal entrance to the Courtyards development in Green End Street, Aston Clinton.

There is an area of previously repaired tarmac immediately outside the entrance to number 17 The Courtyards and to the communal entrance to the whole Courtyards development, at the top of Green End Street close to the junction with London Road, which over recent times as a result of increased heavy road traffic has cracked the road surface, subsided and sunk, and which fills with filthy road water when raining, rendering both the private front door entrance and the communal entrance unusable and dangerous. These entrances are used by families with small children, elderly and other residents, and in wet weather anyone using the entrance, or our front door, is soaked with muddy puddle water as vehicles speed by. The narrow pavement has also been damaged by heavy vehicles mounting the pavement to avoid parked cars, and to make matters worse, there is also a dropped kerb (which we don't need) which does nothing to stop the water splashes. We have very large numbers of huge earthmovers and associated HGVs using Green End Street to service the developments currently being worked on down Green End and Brook Street - notably the Bellways development off Chapel Drive - and these HGVs deposit mud and debris onto the road surface, which is now being splashed at window height and ingressing into our home via the front door. We have noticed the cracks and subsidence increasing over the recent months as more heavy vehicles come thundering down Green End Street. The Courtyards buildings fronting Green End Street are Grade 2 Listed Buildings, with limited foundations, and are managed by The Courtyards residents association with regards repairs and redecoration - the deterioration caused by the road condition is having a rapid detrimental affect on the exterior surfaces of the building (painted in cream paint and now filthy) and the historic wooden gates which are suffering from peeling paint with the continual exposure to splashing water. The residents collectively pay a management charge to upkeep the exterior surfaces, so this deterioration will have a negative affect on the frequency of repairs, thereby costing the residents more in charges. Could TfB please address this matter urgently! I have brought this to the attention of our Local Area Technician and to Streetworks, but the last response to my contact was over two months ago and nothing has been done to rectify the problem. There are also three other significant potholes closer to the junction, and on the junction, with London Road, which are deteriorating rapidly and spreading more debris onto the road.
