A large number of increasingly dangerous potholes at the junction of Dukes Wood Avenue and the A40. They extend about 100 yards into Dukes Wood Avenue from the A40 (Oxford Road)

Reported anonymously at 15:37, Wed 26 September 2018

The series of potholes in this location (extending into Dukes Wood Avenue from the Oxford road junction for about 100 yards) is causing increasing concern. Cycling this morning it was very difficult to avoid them. Using a car it is now impossible to avoid them as there are so many. My wife's car once again has suspension problems due, in my opinion in no small part, to the fact that she uses this road several times each day. The last repair was to the top suspension mountings which were fractured and this cost £200. I suspect this is exactly the same repair which will now be required as the very distinctive noise is identical. Sadly our other car a volkswagen golf, is also now making similar noises. It would appear that no repairs have been done to this section of road for a long period which has led to substantial degradation of the surface in a large area.In my view it is increasingly dangerous, especially for cyclists.
