You are reporting the following problem report for being abusive, containing personal information, or similar:
Road flooded and impassable Reported anonymously at 18:07, Tue 6 October 2020 This road is impassable. If you drive a 4x4 then no problem. But in a normal car the water is too high to pass through. Several cars have broken down here due to attempts at passing through flooding. Sticking a ‘flood’ warning sign here does not resolve the issue. The drains need clearing regardless of you continuously closing out reports stating ‘ Chalfont St Peter and the surrounding areas experienced some severe flash flooding last week and suffered from extreme volumes of rainfall over and beyond what the highway drainage system could usually cope with, and which we believe was to blame for the majority of the flooding and drainage issues experienced. Transport for Buckinghamshire operates a cyclic gully clearance programme and the next clearance will take place during this programme. Unfortunately we are unable to give you an exact date or timescale for this work at the present time, but hope that this work will be completed as soon as possible. ’ Because this is a yearly issue. An ongoing issue’ and is constantly reported as a hazard yet the drains are neither prioritised nor cleared and it’s a constant problem taking the children to school. Regardless of your claim of a cyclic gully clearance it clearly is not enough nor adequate. I will be putting in an FOI request to see when these drains are cleared. Were last cleared and how many people have reported these issues. I will then be going to the MP/parish and/or papers. Our children have missed 6mts of schooling due to Covid and this flooding is preventing access to get them to school safety. It is also a hazard to pedestrians walking past and getting soaked
