Approaching and at the junction of Clay Lane and Marlow Road (51.60490657277185, -0.8032520568101894)

Reported anonymously at 20:50, Sat 10 July 2021

Driving from Marlow towards Lane End on B482 and a car emerged from Clay Lane, turning right on to Marlow Road (B482) heading towards Lane End, at point blank range forcing us to perform an emergency stop. Upon replaying the dashcam footage, the hedges are grossly overgrown hiding signs and especially a sign that warns that the road and junction is an accident blackspot (photo shows this); also, the painted road markings (including the word "SLOW") are faded. The 50 MPH speed limit should be looked at around this junction (suggest lowering to 40 MPH), as we were only doing a little over 40 MPH when the car emerged and we just about managed to avoid a collision whereas others will no doubt be travelling at at least the 50 limit and there would've been an accident had they have been doing those speeds today. I have retained the dashcam footage and am considering sharing it with TVP as felt this was a significant near miss worthy of reporting to them as well.
