Obstructed footpath and pavements

Reported in the Pavements/footpaths category by Paul I. at 12:34, Fri 29 September 2017

Received by Buckinghamshire County Council moments later

Hello, On Desborough Park Road on the entrance into Park House Business Centre there are two blocked public pavements. Motor vehicles are perched/parked up on the kerbs and pavements. This really should be clearly marked with double red or double yellow lines prohibiting parking as it is dangerous when coming upon the parked vehicles blocking the pavement when pushing a pram, pushchair, buggy or simply walking with accompanying children/adults. Please keep this area of pavement for pedestrians safe, and afford protection to the people who use the pavement for walking so they don't need to step out into the road where there are numerous blind spots and perilous hazards of turning, exiting and moving vehicles. It is reckless and careless that there are no double yellow lines indicating that there should be no waiting at any time on this specific stretch of public highway and pavement. Many pedestrians use this very pavement to bring and collect their children from the nearby Millbrook Combined School via the Desborough Park Road, and Grafton Street roads towards the path by the recreation ground. The pavement/footpath and footpath corners by the entrance to Park House Business Centre are fraught with danger due to the vehicles parked up on the footpath blocking usage of the pavement to pedestrians.
