O/s No 27 Buckingham Road, Uphill Southbound C/way.
Reported in the Pothole category anonymously at 20:11, Mon 23 April 2018
Sent to Buckinghamshire Council 4 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1292102.
Clancy Docwra carried out a c/way reinstatement last week but did not correctly back fill the bed and surround around the apparatus before they compacted 2 layers of MOT Type 1 and compacted 2 layers of AC10 Bitmac, (at least 500mm each layer) which is not to specification (this is the incorrect reinstatement for a principle road c/way as per the NRSWA 1994. As the road is a Principle Road, I would have thought that the reinstatement (although it would have failed within a short period of time anyway due to the above) should have been barriered off over night to try and help the reinstatement settle. They also did not cut back the edges of the excavated area and apply a cold joint bituminous sealant. Water ingress, failure of edges over time. In summary, the reinstatement has failed due to poor reinstatement works and not in compliance of the NRSWA. Every time a heavy vehicle drives over the area now, I am subject to a load boom and vibration.
