London End HP9 2HP
Reported in the Bollard light not working category anonymously at 15:59, Wed 25 April 2018
Sent to Buckinghamshire Council 1 minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 1294366.
Subject: Pedestrian crossing (zebra crossing)
In London End, Beaconsfield there are two zebra crossings. This is the A40 trunk road. So many drivers, who are not familiar with the locations of the crossings, are passing through the town.
The postcodes of the locations are HP9 2JH and HP9 2HP.
Normally there are three flashing Belisha beacons on the first crossing and four flashing Belisha beacons on the second crossing.
Only two of those seven lights are working properly.

I would like to report a safety hazard which is still in existence subsequent to action taken by South Bucks District Council back in 2014, namely the obscuration of a Belisha beacon near the Knights of Beaconsfield shop in Old Beaconsfield. This beacon is completely obscured by tree foliage when travelling east along London End, thereby compromising the pedestrian zebra crossing at this location. I have been in contact with South Bucks District Council, who advise that this issue is now within your control. I would appreciate your action to rectify this pedestrian safety issue. Thank you.
