The majority of the Lane is in a very poor state, mainly between each end of the 'resdidential sections'
Reported in the Road surface category by Peter Rawbone at 13:13, Tue 1 May 2018
Sent to Buckinghamshire Council 2 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1299797.
The road surface is degrading along much of its length between Holmer Green and Little Missenden and has many serious defects and potholes. This has been going on for a long time and really should receive some attention.

Transport for BuckinghamshireFed up with potholes – we are too!
Government funding cuts and pressures from other services such as social care means there isn’t enough money to pay for all the work which needs doing on our roads.
However, a new single council for Buckinghamshire would save at least £18m per year – money which the new council could decide to put into more road resurfacing.
The Government wants to hear your views on the plans. Visit www.buckscc.gov.uk/OneCouncil to have your say – it only takes a minute!Posted by Buckinghamshire Council at 13:15, Tue 1 May 2018

It is now 11 May and you stated that you will respond within 10 days (my submission was 1 May) any chance of an update soon, please?
More importantly, just start planning the repairs and get them under way. Thank you.

It is now 12 days since this was reported. You said "WITHIN 10 WORKING DAYS TO RESPOND". To date - your response has been zilch. Why make such statements when you obviously can't comply with your targets.

Part of what you sent on 1 May is "... under review. We will investigate this and respond to you within 10 working days. We will continue to update you by email ..." It is now 22 May and I've still not received any communication from you. This was brought to the attention of Councillor Birchley who was most surprised at this. I see now that you have received yet another report concerning the Lane. It's getting beyond a joke.

It is now 5 months since I reported the issue (as indeed have others). I see that "Action Scheduled" is at the head of this report - it would be rather nice if the schedule was completed prior to the Autumn / Winter. Any chance?

On 1 June you stated that this had been addd to the works programme and it’s still outstanding. Perhaps you could have advised which years works programme! In the meanwhile cyclists and motorists will continue to suffer. Here’s to a better new year?

Good morning,
Back in June (2018) Action Scheduled appeared at the head of this report. Could you please advise when in 2019 the defective surface will be repaired. Cyclists, horse riders, pedestrians, motorists and all other road users would love to know

On 1st June 2018, you stated that the work has been added to your schedule and the top of this page, it stated “Action Scheduled”. It now states “Unknown”. Does this imply that you no longer consider that the surface is in need of repair? If your ‘inspectors’ were to transit the Lane, I’m sure they would reconsider your odd decision. Please advise the change of heart soonest. We villagers, and other road users, are most concerned - not only for personal safety but for damage to animals, vehicles and cycles.

I see that Action Scheduled has been reinstated. Please advise when it will proceed.

I first advised you of the defective road surface on 1 May LAST YEAR i.e over a year ago and yet ‘Action Scheduled’ remains at the head of this. Sections of the road are in a very serious condition and if something is not done soon, the Council will likely be facing claims for damage.
