Transport for BuckinghamshireFed up with potholes – we are too!
Government funding cuts and pressures from other services such as social care means there isn’t enough money to pay for all the work which needs doing on our roads.
However, a new single council for Buckinghamshire would save at least £18m per year – money which the new council could decide to put into more road resurfacing.
The Government wants to hear your views on the plans. Visit www.buckscc.gov.uk/OneCouncil to have your say – it only takes a minute!Posted by Buckinghamshire Council at 12:30, Mon 14 May 2018

Since posting my original report on May 14, I have received no response and the unstable manhole cover has become worse. It is now dangerous to cyclists and the constant noise every time a vehicle passes over has got even louder - Day and Night. it is unbearable!! Please respond>

So here we are, now over 2 weeks since my original report and still no response from BCC. The noise and danger to cyclists has become worse, especially over the Bank Holiday weekend when I was awoken in the early hours by a loud double banging sounding like someone knocking on my front door! It really is that bad! PLEASE RESPOND.

THIS IS NOT A POT HOLE ISSUE! 5 weeks in and BCC have still not responded to the original report. The double man hole cover shown on the map is seriously unstable, very loose, is a danger to cyclists and EXTREMELY NOISY day and night. Can something be done before the noise drives us all completely mad?

This still hasnt been dealt with. It is a BT manhole cover. I have asked BT to lift and turn the manhole cover 180 degrees and they cannot do this without an order. Please ask BT. Please.

BCC Transport for Bucks have told me that "the cover will be attended to as part of our works" but the road works in Bishopstone have now finished! Open Reach tell me that their 'second line team' have been briefed to carry out repairs on August 15 and the contractors are 'Carline Telent'. Neither BCC or Open Reach had any knowledge of the various reports on the FixMyStreet web site! HELP!!

It is quite unbelievable that BCC - TfB have done absolutely nothing since May and as a result, the loose and dangerous manhole cover in Bishopstone has become even more of a hazard and the noise is unbearable! In view of this lack of support, I shall be cancelling my Council Tax monthly payments until some action is taken. Colin Stone
