Whole surface breaking up and very deep potholes
Reported in the Pothole category anonymously at 16:29, Sat 19 May 2018
Sent to Buckinghamshire Council 1 minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 1316583.
The pics show just three of the dozens of deep potholes and broken road surface. Reported before and told no repair necessary! I needed to have my cars suspension repaired 2 weeks ago through driving on this surface several times a day to get to my home. I will be claiming for the damage already done to my car and any further damage if the road is not repaired. Surely if the potholes are showing the underneath concrete its got to be deep enough to warrant an urgent repair? This has been in a dangerous condition for months now

Transport for BuckinghamshireFed up with potholes – we are too!
Government funding cuts and pressures from other services such as social care means there isn’t enough money to pay for all the work which needs doing on our roads.
However, a new single council for Buckinghamshire would save at least £18m per year – money which the new council could decide to put into more road resurfacing.
The Government wants to hear your views on the plans. Visit www.buckscc.gov.uk/OneCouncil to have your say – it only takes a minute!Posted by Buckinghamshire Council at 16:30, Sat 19 May 2018

Still no work done on these potholes. Disgraceful! Just returned from Cyprus. Their roads are completely pot hole free. Feels like returning to a third world country!

Road worse than ever! No work by council. All local traffic knows when they drive around the bend they need to go VERY slowly! I've given up. The council don't even respond

Well the road surface has just failed and is becoming dangerous to use with the holes getting bigger and deeper. Is it going to take us locals going down to Wickes getting some concrete and filling the holes our ourselves?
I think most of the people in the local area are fed up the on going lack of action.

Something needs to be done about this road. We’ve just spent £600 fixing an issue with our car that the mechanic believes was caused in part by repeatedly driving over potholes.

Please fix this awful problem I've just had to repair a tyre having dropped into one of the holes while trying to avoid another. I wonder if a councillor lived in our locale would this disgrace already be sorted.

At my wits end with no response from my constant reports on this issue I contacted my local councillors who in turn contacted BCC. I eventually got an email from them saying that the road service should be repaired by the end of October. I wait with bated breath! Absolutely disgraceful that other roads are being repaired that are nowhere near the state of Chestnut Avenue

We are now half way through October and still no sign of this road bring repaired. The whole of the road is a nightmare with hardly any road surface left. This needs sorting urgently.

Were you reading my mind. I noticed yesterday they patched a tiny hole on manor way shame they totally missed the major problem. It's becoming more dangerous, at least put some warning signs up, drop the speed to 5mph its a failed road surface. I nearly got hit by a 4x4 who was trying to avoid the holes. I wonder if health & safety legislation has anything that can be used to wake the council up.
