Width restriction instructions sign and lights missing

Reported in the Sign problem category anonymously at 10:06, Thu 31 May 2018

Received by Buckinghamshire Council moments later

This is a major road and after an accident where a car hit the sign and lights, it’s never been replaced or repaired.

At nights it’s both impossible to see the width restriction and the instructions on who’s right of way it is.

I’ve personally had several near misses with drivers unaware of the right of way.

As mention this is a major road with heavy traffic flow and lots of HGVs using the road. It must be fixed asap

  • This is a major risk, drivers are not aware of the rules of the restrictions with the signs. In addition there are no lights which makes it even more difficult. This is an accident waiting to happen.

I cant believe the council are not fixing this. Its been over 4 months

  • I drove past this width restriction this morning and despite a notice that it has been 'fixed' it is still in the same condition. Do we have to wait until someone is seriously injured or worse before this is rectified?

  • I am a Driving Instructor and this missing priority sign is a HUGE risk to road users. My clients and I are often put in danger along this road because other road users are not clear of the priority. Please prioritise this

  • Despite being told that this work was being programmed more than 12 months ago, the situation is unchanged. More damage has been done and at the North Park end there is now only a concrete base in the road with no lighting. The hazard signs are long gone, the warning white lines are virutally non-existant plus this serious hazard is not visible to drivers in the dark. This issue has now been ongoing for more than 18 months!!!!!
