Drop curb outside 28 Stewkley Rd / storm drain in road
Reported in the Flooding category anonymously at 16:55, Tue 5 June 2018
Sent to Buckinghamshire Council 5 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1331578.
During the heavy downpours last week we experienced flooding into our garage, side porch and through patio doors due to the rush of water coming from the alleyway next to our house - 30 Stewkley Road. The water running down the road was diverted onto the pavement due to the very low curb, along the alleyway and then flooding our garden and filling over a bricks course in the garage which caused damage to our freezers. We are aware that these were unusual conditions but would like some change to the path/road to prevent this happening again. Water also ran from the alley and under our fence at the rear of the property like a river as for some reason there was nowhere else for it to go on route - again could this be investigated. We would be very happy to show the engineer where the problems were and also show him some video footage that unfortunately I am unable to upload. Many thanks,
