On Gomm Road between Orchard Road and the Networh |Rail access Point on the North/West side of the road

There is heavy growth ow weeds including nettles obstructing about 50% of the pavement along this stretch. I often get stung or have to walk in the road. Can these please be trimmed/cleared. This has been getting worse with the good weather in the last month or so.

  • We have inspected the defect in line with our Highway Safety Inspection Policy. The defect does not currently meet the criteria for immediate intervention, but has been added to our future programme of routine defect repairs.

  • Some parts of the pavement are 90% blocked now and due to the cars parking along the road pedestrians are needing to walk in the road

  • This is still blocked and the nettles have taken over. I was stung badly on my way past this evening
