Ledborough lane, 2nd set of speed humps coming up from A355

Reported in the Road surface category anonymously at 20:34, Tue 26 June 2018

Received by Buckinghamshire Council moments later

2nd set of speed humps coming up Ledborough Lane from A355. As well as the missing part, the metal bracket is exposed inside the hump and, as you can see, there was a six inch bolt in the road on the right hand side next to the dislodged piece of road hump. I moved that to the verge out of harm’s way.

  • I have put the rubber section back in place as there was an exposed metal bar protruding to where the missing section was. It is not locked down and will likely be displaced regularly with the volume of traffic. This is a major hazard to damaging any car which does not drive over the middle section of the speed bump. I don't know how long it will remain in place!!!! Please remedy this ASAP.

  • There is still a missing piece of this speed hump, and it's damaging cars as a metal edge is exposed. I suggest you fix this quickly before you get a lot of claims resulting from it.

  • This is dangerous - if a motorcycle hits the vertical face where the section is missing (quite possible in the dark), they could well be knocked off their bike. 5 months have now passed since you were notified.

  • The position of the pad, as shown in your diagram is incorrect. The faulty pad is 2nd after the Amersham Road junction, not near Wilton Road. After 5 months surely this repair warrants some urgency?
