Outside Bourne End Motor Comapny

Reported in the Footpath / pavement problem category by Nick Pink Bourne End Motor Company at 11:13, Mon 9 July 2018

Received by Buckinghamshire Council moments later

Over two weeks ago the bollard preventing vehicles from driving onto the pavement was removed (not known by whom) over the past 10days tarmacadam has simply been deposited inside the hole that was left. It is not even level with the pavement!. This morning a lady tripped on the hole fortunately she did not hurt too badly. But this repair needs to be considered ASAP before someone injures themselves more seriously.

  • Whilst the hole where the post was has now been filled in, having not been replaced vehicles are now driving up the pavement and parking on it. Could you please replace the missing post ASAP

  • One month on and the hole is still full of tarmacadam and now the second post has gone missing leaving another large dangerous hole over 6" deep and about 5" wide. as has been mentioned above due to the lack of vehicle prevention bollards cars/vans are now parking on the pavement as customers go into the CoOp and M&S to do their shopping. ACTION PLEASE

  • Why has there been no update on this problem for a week. It is only a matter of time before someone either falls on the hole or gets hit by a Car driving up the pavement or stepping into the road to negotiate a car already parked on the pavement.

  • Despite yet another call yesterday 17/09/18 and speaking to TFB, the lady said the issue would be passed immediately to the Emergency Dept for action. Here we are on Saturday afternoon and NOTHING has been done. With the dark nights drawing in I hope that no-one has an accident. I have to say this is a pretty appalling service from TFB. I have attached another photo to show just how deep and wide the hole is. Certainly big enough to lose a foot down.

  • This report has been marked Fixed. Which means tarmac has been put inside hole. Two bollards to prevent cars mounting the pavement still not replaced. I found one of the bollards in a hedge when walking my dog 3 weeks ago. I carried it home and stopped one of your small TFB engineer vans, he said he would collect it. Its still there! Update please

  • So here we are almost 6 months after the initial complaint. Still nothing done, still I have the bollard and only last week contractors came and repaired uneven slabs only 6ft away from the initial issue. Only an hour later due to the lack of bollards a large lorry came and parked and drove over the slabs and now they are cracked! This is getting rediculous. Come on TFB sort your act out.

  • Why has this issue been closed. The holes are still filled with tarmac and the bollards have STILL not been replaced! Could you please update the issue correctly and if need be update the compalaint accurately. This is now 8 months old.
