3 Belisha Beacon lights not working Junction Gatehouse Road and Bicester Road
Reported in the Belisha Beacon broken category by Gerald Whitehead at 18:29, Mon 9 July 2018
Sent to Buckinghamshire Council 1 minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 1359682.
Three lights not working on Belisha Beacons . The 4th one (only one working) was hidden by overhanging trees but these have been cut back in the last week. Also the white paint markings of the crossings are nearly worn out. As the lights are in full sun, could they be replaced by the improved type as used in Stoke Road Aylesbury (Little lights running around the perimeter of the lights) Easier to see in sun light. This was reported 6 months ago by another person.

Still not fixed. The flashing beacons none of them are working. The spotlights onto the crossing none of them are working and neither is the streetlight above this crossing. Please at least get the streelight fixed before a pedestrian gets injured.

This issue has been going on with the belisha becon not working since July. It needs fixing ASAP especially as this is a busy crossing in a dark location with the nights closing in if it is not fixed soon the likelihood of an accident is increased.

Still not fixed and it is dark at peak commuting times now. So working lights nearby are on and suddenly you are thrown into darkness at a busy RAB pedestrian crossing (with no way for pedestrians to force traffic to stop as only a zebra).

This is a dead service that is already with UKPN for resolution as an urgent job.
So all are aware this is an update I was copied in on. I will chase up if not done soon as this was 22 Nov. Cllr Mark Winn
