AVDC received a report of these trip hazards. We reported it to Thames Water. They attended and replied as below. We believe this is an area you manage so please can you attend - 6 September 2018 Our Ref: 33373083 Diane Walk, HP21 9YJ Dear Ms Matthews
I’m writing in response to your email dated 30 August 2018. In regards to raised and damaged drain covers in Diane Walk. I passed your enquiry onto our Contractors, Lanes for Drains, who went out and visited the area on 31 August 2018. Our contactors established that the manholes were not defective, but the footway and the lawn surrounding the MH had started to sub side, this had left up to 200mm of the MH showing. All of our assets are fully operational. Therefore, this is a Highways Authority issue. As there’s no further action needed from us, I’ll close your case. However, If you need to contact us again regarding this matter, please telephone me on 0800 009 3902. Our offices are open between the hours of 8am and 5pm, Monday to Friday. If I’m unavailable when you call then you can either leave a message for me or one of my colleagues will be pleased to assist. We'd love to hear about your experience, please click here to tell us what we are doing well or what we can do better. Yours Sincerely Katie Harte Customer Relations
