Broken roundabout sign outside 107 mill end road hp12 4jr

Reported in the Footpath / pavement problem category anonymously at 09:40, Tue 2 October 2018

Received by Buckinghamshire County Council moments later

This sign has been left like this since at least May - the council are aware of it as it was reported previously as having a sharp edge and workers came and applied electrical tape to the sharp edge. It used to have a cone fitted over but this has long since gone, leaving just its base. It's not only dangerous, especially at night, but an eyesore. Can it not be removed if it's not going to be replaced?

  • Further to my post on 2.10.18 I came home from work yesterday to find that the sign has been hit again which has knocked off the plastic cap and tape that was put there back in May (a cone has appeared alongside it as well which I presume was placed over it by the council yesterday). This, again, has exposed the very sharp edge and wires inside (although I presume these are not 'live'). PLEASE can something permanent be done about this before it injures someone.

  • Although the up-date dated 10th October states this defect has now been fixed you can clearly see from the photograph above (taken 30th October) that it has not. This barrier was erected around it over a week ago but no further works have been carried out. It has twice now - to my knowledge - been knocked by cars trying to park close to it and I and my neighbour have put it back together again (once when it was laying straight across the footpath). Please can it be permanently fixed?

  • It has been about 11 months now since this problem started and as of 29th April it still has not been fixed - see downloaded photograph. Frankly, fed up with this outside our property and having to keep putting the cage back around the broken piece of sign when it gets knocked about by cars trying to park near it and moving it. When is it going to be fixed - we thought it was supposed to be done in March?
