Outside the Beacon School

Reported in the Traffic lights problem at temporary roadworks category anonymously at 09:21, Tue 16 October 2018

Received by Buckinghamshire Council moments later

There is only a hole dug within the grass verge. Not even on the pavement,as far as I can see. Traffic lights have been set up on this MAJOR route ,and there has been standing traffic since before 7am. THERE IS NOONE WORKING THERE. THERE IS NO DANGER TO WORKMEN, OR ROAD USERS, NOR PEDESTRIANS. Why have lights been put in place SO early ,when all its done is cause major travel issues? I would totally understand it ,if the hole was being worked on, or if it was after 9am. If it still is the same after 3pm today it will cause terrible traffic problems, including for the two schools. I live off the main road, and problems with this road add hours to my day. Let alone all the other road users.

No one minds when they can see work is taking place, but when there is nothing happening and no blockage to the road, you get very disgruntled people.

  • Basically the same problem as October. Small hole on verge. A 3 way traffic light set up is causing delays at 7.30am. It will be bedlam when school traffic starts. It’s a joke. Whoever is putting these up needs to consult properly so the same mistake isn’t made over and over again.
