I live in Lavric Road and have for 12 years commuted to a ton north of Aylesbry daily. Mt route is alays the same turning left along Russell Avenee, joining Churchill Avenue at the roundabout and then turning right at the traffic lights on Churchill Avenue. However in recent weeks the timing of the trafic lights ha become a real ssue. The secitoon of C hurchill Avenue leading from the roundabout to the traffic lights is a log jam at the nest of times due to the infrequently used bus routs. This forcs cars into one lane until they reach the traffic lights. Alos the right hand turn into Pebble Brook School causds momentary dleays that then exacerbate the timing issue. There just doesn't seem to bne sufficient time alowed for cars entering Oxford Road. There is a reacyion time and this does not appear to be accounted for. As a result traffic is backing up along both Prebendal venue and Churchil Avenue. However ot has become so bad that o may mornign at about 08.15 people driving north west along Churchill Avnue from turn left into Lavri Road and then right along Russell Avnue seeking to circumvent the section of Churchil Avneue between Lavric Road Prebendal Avenue. This causs a trafiic jm ALONG Russell Avenue which has NEVER happened before. Clealry if people are havign to detiut then this undoubtedly proves that there is an issue.
