Yellow lines, corner location Klondyke
Reported in the Road lines / road markings category anonymously at 21:45, Fri 21 December 2018
Sent to Buckinghamshire Council 5 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1493149.
Road works have now been completed; today a team of line painters were reinstating the double yellow lines that were present prior to the works taking place, due to a vehicle that was parked at the corner the double yellow lines were terminated in front of the parked vehicle these yellow lines need to be extended to where they were in the first place as its causing problems for other vehicles to negotiate the corner and it makes it almost impossible for emergency vehicles to gain access to Klondyke beyond this corner.

Because of the failure to reinstate the no parking double yellow lines back to their original position that prevent vehicles parking on the corner a number of vehicles have sustained damage whilst trying to negotiate the corner these vehicles have made contact with the far wall this I know as people have rang my door bell asking if the parked vehicle is mine, which of course it isn't.

Here’s a photo of an emergency service today which clearly shows would struggle getting into Klondyke due to the blue parked car. Please reinstate the double yellow line up to where it used to be.

Please advise when the double yellow lines will be reinstated. Klondyke also needs to be regularly patrolled by parking wardens to ensure cars are not parked illegally overnight.

Still no response from BCC since the original automated acknowledgement on 21 December. This continues to be a real problem for the residents of Klondyke. Please advise by return when the double yellow lines will be reinstated. And now an error message - have tried numerous times to upload this message. BCC really do need to try harder.....

You ask for an update here is yet another, please see photographs once again an emergency vehicle COULD NOT ACCESS INTO KLONDYKE due to parked vehicles yesterday 23rd April 2019, nothing has been done about reinstating the double yellow lines that were terminated short of their original position please see the first reporting of this issue Friday 21st December 2018. NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE. Also see report 6th January 2019 showing an emergency vehicle again NOT ABLE TO GAIN ACCESS if this situation continues to be ignored it will only be a question of time before a real tragedy will occur such as loss of life due to emergency vehicles being delayed. It’s a simple fix that you have ignored please sort it out.
