Intersection of Amersham Road & Red Hill

There is a dangerous spot on A413 dual carriageway between Chalfont St Peter and Bakerswood. Ive attached below in picture 1 an approx location, and in picture 2 of where the danger lies (circled in red)
In the space of 8 weeks, I have been confronted twice with near miss head on collisions whilst travelling at 60mph, due to vehicles coming down the dual carriageway in the wrong direction
The issue is that its too easy for traffic to mistakenly go down the Amersham road in the wrong way when travelling in the direction shown by the red and orange arrows in picture 3
Picture 4 shows the view when travelling in the direction of the red arrow. Although the signs quite clearly indicate no left turn, the slightly earlier sign does intimate with the arrow that one needs to turn left to go to Bakers Wood . I would also point out that when a driver reaches the ‘give way’ line , that the ‘no left turn’ signs are no longer observable. Furthermore there aren’t any ‘no entry’ signs on the left hand side to remind drivers that the cannot turn down the Amersham Road in that direction
Picture 5 shows cars coming in the other direction as per the orange arrow. Although there are “no entry “ signs where Redhill crosses the Amersham Road, there isn’t a “No entry” sign on Amersham Road itself on the right. If a driver goes through the no entry sign by mistake, it would be very easy for him to assume that one can turn right given the layout of the road and the fact that there isn’t a ‘no entry’ sign on the right. Given cars from the right will typically be travelling at 60 – 70mph, head on collisions at that speed are likely to be fatal
My alternative suggestion would be why not close off this entry to Redhill (given that it should be no entry anyway) , forcing residents to enter Redhill slightly further down the road (as per picture 6). I would suggest that this solution would prevent both of the potential scenarios that I outlined in picture 3 (Red & orange arrows)
