Received by Buckinghamshire Council moments later
I have a modular blocked Drive way accessed from the footpath cross over . My drive is on on a gradient which slopes back towards the foot path . I Had a new Modular blocked drive way laid which consisted of MOT type 1 which after a visual examination agreed it had plenty of fines in it but , as my house is built on Stoke grange, I know the ground consists of mainly heavy clay and made up ground . For this reason I doubled up the depth of sub base to accommodate fluctuations in ground movement as our area Is renowned for very poor foot path conditions . My position in occupational capacity requires NRASWA accreditation . IOSH . Many Health and safety investigations. Accident investigation . HAUC monitoring etc . I know as stated my area fails in most of these issues .! Some footpath furniture is 0.400 mm higher than the surrounding existing levels accessed by members of the public. This fails miserably considering the 10mm trip hazard tolerances , and I know you have had many many reports relating to this and therefore have already tried to Address this as complaints must have been logged . Never the less my immediate concern is the access issue to my drive way. This failing area extends across the width of my drive access which is approximately 4.0m by 1.2m slurry sealed. My drive has been repaired from my private side thus preventing permitry and noticing issues which would encure financial loses from my self . But due to the public foot path still subsiding the edging etc is now subsiding again causing damage to the front skirt of my wife's 66 plate car . I am reluctant to address costly maintenance again and request a visit from your highways maintenance inspector to assist in my enquiry before further damage is caused due to lack of highway maintenance which I am contributing to in my rates . ( pole tax ) This is not a threat but possibly the first of a long drawn out correspondence which I am going to compile for my future reference .
