Aylesbury Road, Bierton. Pedestrian Crossing

Reported in the Traffic lights problem at temporary roadworks category anonymously at 20:28, Thursday 14 March 2019

Received by Buckinghamshire County Council moments later

I have today witnessed cars driving through the red light- the green man was showing for pedestrians to cross. One car only stopped because I shouted stop and put my hand up for them to stop. I think drivers are assuming the red light is for general roadworks so they carry on driving even though the light is red. A huge number of children use this crossing, many without adults accompanying them. Someone will be seriously injured or killed if the signage doesn’t change to make drivers aware that the lights are for pedestrians to cross. These temporary lights are due to be here for another 6 days.
