A40 West Inside Lane across from Arnolds Funeral Parlour and particularly affecting cottages 790 to 798 London Road

Reported in the Pothole category by Mrs Susan Dennigan - 792 London Road at 14:37, Sat 16 March 2019

Received by Buckinghamshire Council moments later

Manhole cover has sunk in road resulting in a pothole all around it. Should motorcyclist hit this at speed it could result in a serious accident. It also is not good for motorists tyres. In addition the noise made every time a vehicle goes over this dislodged manhole cover there is continuous "ker plunk" sound which is very annoying / disturbing for local residents. It is impossible to avoid this hazard as the lane runs parallel to a lane which is a bus lane at certain times and which carries normal traffic at others.

  • I did not get a response within the specified time nor update. Sick and tired of the constant noise and paying hefty council tax (as a widow) and driving on roads that are beginning to be a disgrace to those of a third world country.
