  • I am from Practicality Brown Ltd and having already been in email correspondence originally with Ruth Cover (assistant to Mark Kemp) and had a letter from him dated 10th April 2018, this road - regarding potholes and drainage in Swan Road, and been told that Mark Kemp has now been replaced by Rob Smith and told that my email had been forwarded to his assistant. I have not heard anything back from Rob Smith or his assistant in this matter, so am attaching photos here in the hope that the potholes will now be sorted. They are dangerous now and should any emergency vehicle be needed at any of the cottages at the end, they could potentially cause damage to these vehicles and hinder them getting to an emergency on time. The road when it has rained often has a large puddle right across the road, making it very hard for any pedestrians to get round, which is why we are querying the drainage.

  • It looks as though someone has attempted to patch up one of the holes as you can see from one of the attached photos. Whilst this has made it marginally better it is not an acceptable fix. As you can see the water currently in the remainder of the hole is only going to return the problem to its original state in a short space of time. The other photo shows a smaller pothole by the drain cover, this needs rectifying as well! In fact this whole area of Swan Road needs the drainage sorting out since after a heavy bout of rain it more resembles a "pond" and quite deep in places and is not easy to get round as a pedestrian.
