Inaccessible footpath on thorney lane north and south
Reported in the Footpath / pavement problem category anonymously at 18:40, Thu 9 May 2019
Sent to Buckinghamshire Council 7 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1625294.
The state of the path along thorney lane north and south between the ridgeway trading estate and iver station has been in bad condition for many years with constant flooding and broken street lights making the path almost unusable at certain times, when the only way past on some occasions is to walk in the road, dodging out between the HGVs that drive past at 50 mph. The state of the path over the last few weeks has now become even worse, with it not even possible to get to the road to pass the 20 yard patches of thick slippery mud and ankle deep puddles. I'm fortunate enough to be able to just about get past the obstacle course with just the penalty of ruining my shoes everytime I pass. How anyone with a disability or a parent with a buggy would be able to pass is completely beyond me. The whole path and verge needs completely relaying. It would be so easy for someone to slip and fall into the road and then it would be down to luck as to whether a truck was driving past at that moment.

This has been an issue for YEARS. What is the point of refurbishing Iver station, when it is inaccessible to anyone in iver to walk to it!?! What is it going to take for this to get resolved? A serious accident? A death? It’s a miracle something like this hasn’t happened already. Another case of SBDC completely disregarding Iver residents in favour of it’s more affluent constituencies!

Council is just ignoring public safety and right of way... my 72 year old father slipped .. council is just waiting for disaster to happen..how many times do we have to report? Is there any way to take legal action against council...we have been reporting this issue since last year...
