  • Also receiving a large amount of complaints from residents of Wotton Underwood regarding the amount of advertisements that have been attached to the fence at this junction. It is unsightly and distracting.

  • I contacted BCC via FMS under another heading to report the advertising boards but was informed that BCC has no authority as the fence is privately owned. As we know, the junction is no stranger to incidents, hence the mirror, and although drivers are fully responsible for their individual actions and decisions whilst driving, the signs do distract. I would have thought there was some legislation that BCC or whoever could enforce under safety or road law, to assist in reducing the risk of accidents occurring, even if those advertisements are not totally responsible, apart form all that, it looks a mess.

Your three replies contradict each other, which is the correct reply, states closed, then at the foot, action scheduled, then another post, in progress, then another post, stating closed, then again at the foot of the post, action scheduled??

The junction is dangerous especially for traffic turning right towards Brill, surely at a minimum the mirror should be replaced.

  • Still open, via questionnaire, 16:28, Tuesday 2 July 2019

  • Nearly 2 months on and another accident a month or so ago and still no sign repair or at least a mirror replacement, no update either from 2nd July.
