Streetlight STILL not working

Reported in the Street light not working category anonymously at 17:06, Wed 5 June 2019

Received by Buckinghamshire Council moments later

Street lighting column was replaced totally a few weeks ago (after being destroyed by a car accident months ago). The new light has not worked since it was replaced. Was this not checked before the work was completed?

The column is on the corner of Merrydown and Middlebrook Road.

  • A street lighting fault repair team have visited the unit and they have identified that the electricity supply is faulty. Unfortunately, the cables that supply power to this unit are owned by the electricity company for the area and we are unable to carry out repairs to them on their behalf. Electricity companies have up to 28 working days to complete their repairs but it can, on occasion, take longer in some circumstances. We have advised the electricity company of the fault and we will continue to work with them to resolve the issue as swiftly as possible.
