HP19 9SZ Buckingham Road leading up to the A41/A418 roundabout
Reported in the Road surface category anonymously at 09:43, Wednesday 12 June 2019
Received by Buckinghamshire County Council moments later
Please can the type of spec(tarmac) be changed as the noise is horrendous with the 100% increase in traffic coming through in both directions. This is a narrow road with tall buildings either side echoing the problems so much so the double glazing can't cope as every vehicle can be heard sometimes 1,300 an hour & that's not on a busy day. This road is used by the elderly & children & crossing it ,especially with the speed of some cars is dangerous Aylesbury is desperate for a Bypass & that would help the infrastructure of the whole area! After 23 years here this road has got worse in ALL respects in the past year or so.

Don't accept your closed report which only took an amazing 2 1/4hours from my statement! This road is dangerous & the wrong road surface is being used. Talk to the Highways dept & they will hopefully confirm it. Thames Water have been out in abundance so many times as the state of the road doesn't help them either. Few months ago there were 8 yes 8 men looking at the same manhole/drain cover 2 problems with manhole/drain covers are being dealt with but they will keep coming back. The road is just not there to support the work they do so this circle must be broken. Ref: Outside houses 53 & 55 refer. Please tell me about a bypass as it is no good allowing new housing going up without sorting out the roads first. Only then will the infrastructure in the whole of Aylesbury not just Buckingham Road which has to cope with the traffic going through to the roundabouts leading to Tring A418, Bicester A41 & Oxford A418 roads. But then you must realize this so please don't be "blind" to this! So way forward? I would welcome a visit & you have my phone number to be able to make an appointment with me. I would be grateful if you would take more than the 2 1/4 hours to come to your decision. I sincerely hope it doesn't take a death of a child of elderly person as the crossing outside 53 & 55 & zebra crossing at the roundabouts are not adhered to all the time. You have to take you life in your own hands! This is no joke & I look forward to hearing from you. It will be good to have a conversation about spec!!

Ref no 40105225 refers as requested I am contacting the Council. Why are you stating that there is no planned work on the road leading up to the town roundabouts? I think you are not looking at your records as I have, since you closed my report on 13/6, contacted Thames water who themselves are incredulous as there has been road works on this stretch continuously for the past year at least! Road surface is the wrong stuff & I had to contact them re the manhole cover outside 55 had already had a problem with the tarmac used to support said manhole had already sunk within 12 hrs of the their repair! I drove over the so called repair the day after you closed my report With regard to the outstanding repair at no 53. They told me that the manhole cover outside 53 is still on course for the same problem sinking tarmac except that the manhole cover itself has been displaced because of the knock on affect! This repair is overdue but they are contacting me before it is repaired as they are at least still listening! Please look at your records as this is not "scotch mist" repairs ARE still ongoing & get up to speed. Please also reply to this update & contact me as Thames water appreciate my input & dialogue which continues as usual. The Buckingham Road to at least the Dunsham Lane turning to the roundabout needs completely resurfacing both ways with the correct spec as this matter for you & Thames water has not been not cost effective!
