Tenzing Way Tarmac Footpath leading downwards towards The Roperies
Reported in the Blocked drain category anonymously at 10:47, Fri 14 June 2019
Sent to Buckinghamshire Council 3 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1660604.
Tenzing Way tarmac footpath leading downwards towards The Roperies. A blocked manhole at the intersection of two tarmac paths- Thames Water have been and confirmed its not them. This manhole gets repeatedly blocked and floods the estate and dwellings - it requires a flood cover. Copy of TW report attached: I’m writing to you today in regards to the recent email we’ve received from you on 11 June 2019.
As you’re aware from our previous phone call, we attended site and determined that the surface water manhole in question was the responsibility of the Highways Authority.
We carried out a dye test from the roadside gully to see if this dropped into the main surface water line. The manhole outside of a neighbouring property was lifted and this was found to be a catch pit which was full of the green dye and also had an outfall pipe leading into it. As the dye came from the roadside gully, this confirms it to be a highways assest.
As there are no further operational issues to be resolved I’ll close your case. However, If you’d like to discuss anything with me, please telephone me on 0800 009 3902 and I can re-open this for you. Our offices are open between the hours of 8am and 5pm, Monday to Friday. If I’m unavailable when you call then you can either leave a message for me or one of my colleagues will be pleased to assist.
