In between 19 and 21 Heath road
Reported in the Street light not working category anonymously at 10:21, Mon 17 June 2019
Sent to Buckinghamshire Council 4 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1663387.
On Saturday 15th just gone a car reversed into said lamppost whilst trying to turn around in the road. The lamppost fell on my wall fence and car causing massive damage. Having reported this to Thames Valley Police, the electrics were made safe and the lamppost removed. My concerns are that if you replace the lamppost in the same position another car will almost certainly hit the new one. To understand how this could happen again you need to know the reasons why cars attempt three point turns outside 19 and 21. They do so because they don't want to turn around further down our road and since the council installed double yellow lines directly opposite 19 and 21 the most convenient place to do a three point turn is outside our properties (sometimes reversing onto our driveways). Possible solutions would include a. Removing double yellows b. Resiting the lamppost elsewhere c. Erecting a protective cage around the new lamppost.
