Traffic Chaos by poor temp lighting system

Reported via iOS in the Traffic lights problem at temporary roadworks category by Eris Robertson at 09:57, Tuesday 9 July 2019

Received by Buckinghamshire County Council moments later

The contractor has not put enough thought into how important this junction is for Flowing traffic in and out of Aylesbury. The phasing has been set up to allow equal time for each road at all times of the day. This is obviously not fit for purpose and poses a risk due to frustration and anger caused. It is only a matter of time before people start to ignore the signals. The signals should have phasing that is sympathetic to the amounts of traffic at certain times of the day.

  • Absolutely shocking!!!! Whoever signed this off and thought this would work needs talking to because the traffic is backed up all the way to Arla on the a41! This road was already bad enough with the amount of traffic lights on it which are all out of sync meaning you stop every 2 minutes! This road needs roundabouts not traffic lights!!

  • An absolute joke, no thought or consideration given to the knock on effect of these temporary lights - more thought required ASAP !!
