New Road junction to A41

Reported in the Traffic lights problem at temporary roadworks category anonymously at 10:09, Tue 9 July 2019

Received by Buckinghamshire County Council moments later

Temporary Traffic lights- I live on Kingsbrook and couldn't even get down Broughton Lane this morning - I normally turn left onto A41 and then right into New Road. Due to the chaos, I drove down to Stocklake and left to the junction on A41 and across to King Edward Avenue- this took me 20 minutes or more. It took me over an hour to a normal 35 minute journey- and this is just the first day until November.

Are the lights not phased correctly or could the main lights be used in rush hour- this is not acceptable for 5 months, let a lone one week!

  • Ridiculous system. No where near capable of handling the amount of traffic coming in and out of Aylesbury. There's no way on earth these can stay there until November.
