Traffic lights outside holiday inn on A41

Reported in the Traffic lights problem at temporary roadworks category by Steven reeve at 21:36, Tuesday 9 July 2019

Received by Buckinghamshire County Council moments later

The temporary traffic lights that have been installed have caused mass chaos for hundreds of commuters trying to go about their day. It took me 35 mins to get out of bedgrove this morning (6:45am) and then took me a further 45mins (18:45) to get from the end of the bypass to the bedgrove turning. No one was there monitoring the traffic and the problems the lights have created. The new lights are barely a year old and they have been taken out already. This needs to be resolved ASAP as you will end up having multiple accidents there as people will not tolerate sitting in traffic for no reason.

  • 6:45 this morning and only going to get worse. Nobody was there operating the lights manually as promised. Someone from your office should be down there now getting this sorted. Not hiding in an office sending emails in the fear of upsetting the cash cows who are building hundreds of houses they can’t sell.

  • I'm told the lights are being manually controlled but by someone sat away from the roadside. Looking at the traffic flow they are sat a very very long way from the road side.
