Douglas Road/stocktake traffic lights - new traffic scheme is tried before someone is injured
Reported in the Traffic lights problem at temporary roadworks category anonymously at 18:25, Tue 17 September 2019
Sent to Buckinghamshire Council 5 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1771044.
Many cars, vans, and lorries are still turning right into Stocklake from Douglas Road at all times of the day and night notwithstanding that it's a no right turn at the junction at the moment. I have seen a few near misses and more needs to be done while the new traffic scheme is tried before someone is injured. On top of this people using the crossings depending on the lights are putting their lives at risk believing that cars will not be turning right into Stocklake.

I am not sure if you have been there since the changes have been implemented, but better signage is required, urgently (this is in addition to existing signage).
Cars are still turning right from Douglas Road into Stocklake. People are ignoring the existing sign and bollards as their is no clear note that no right turn.
I narrowly missed being hit this morning by a black mini that turned right as I was travelling from Oakfield Road to Douglas Road. There were also two other cars waiting to turn right.

Hi sorry to be a pain but I wish to report that still many cars are turning right into stocklake from Douglas Road. Today as I walked my dog at the junction over the morning rush hour I counted 15 cars turning and a number of these are local taxis and commercial vehicles as well as private cars (half of which were on the phone??!!) Because one of the lanes is now closed supposedly to some this action it was causing a back tail of cars up Douglas Road who wanted to go straight on. It also causes confusion to the drivers coming the other way and danger to people like me trying to cross over the junction. Please is there nothing else you can to do this as clearly your adding more signs makes no difference. I await your advice. (I see this every day)

Hi I'm sorry to sat that I still see a number of cars turning right into stocklake from Douglas road. I did get my phone out to take pictures but got abuse from drivers who could see what I was doing so no pictures. You need to do more to stop this, or change it back to allow right turns after all I cannot see why this cannot be done as there is plenty of room and it's no different from turning right into bedgrove from the tring road at the traffic lights!?
