Road flooded
Reported in the Blocked drain category anonymously at 07:58, Tue 24 September 2019
Sent to Buckinghamshire Council 2 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1778305.
This problem has been reported multiple times in past years but no permanent solution has yet been applied bv TFB. Penn Road is again completely flooded between the entrances of 60A and 57 on opposite sides. As a result the residents are trapped in their homes unable to leave on foot while any pedestrians are soaked by cascades of filthy water thrown up by vehicles driving through the flood.

09:00 AM Sunday 6 October. Yet another severe flood this morning right across Penn Road in the same location. Again unable to enter or leave our property on foot. No sign that any preventative action has yet been taken by TFB to address this issue. Road is impassable for all pedestrians.

Tuesday Oct 15 08:00AM. Once again another flood, once again residents in numbers 60a and 57 are trapped in their homes. This repeated flooding is intolerable. What is TFB proposing to do to prevent these repeating severe floods and when will this work be completed?

No information has been provided by the council concerning what plans they may have to implement a permanent solution to this frequent severe flooding problem, or when any corrective action may be taken.

Update 7 November: Yet again the road is completely flooded, residents in No: 60a and 57 are trapped in their homes and unable to enter or leave their properties. Pedestrians unable to pass, postman unable to deliver mail, cars at risk of skidding as they navigate the flooded section often at excess speed. There has been NO response from TFB or the council to this dangerous situation which has been the subject of multiple reports. When is someone going to speak to us about what will be done to fix this permanently?

TFB have finally sent a vehicle to suck out some of the debris from the drain galleys at the bottom of the flood. We understand they may send a super-sucker vehicle later on the address some of the areas which they could not yet reach. The flood problem remains, however, with the drains completely engulfed by standing water pools during heavy rain since this work was done. As you can see they have entered a note to say the remedial work is complete. Unfortunately this is not correct.
