Crossing just before st Margaret’s gate
Reported in the Traffic lights & crossings problems with timings category anonymously at 20:08, Thu 17 October 2019
Sent to Buckinghamshire Council 2 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1809553.
Drivers are speeding up after the speed camera on Slough Road heading towards Uxbridge. This is leaving pedestrians in danger when using the zebra crossing. Tonight I started to cross the zebra crossing with my dog, when I heard a car heading towards me rev up after the speed camera. Unfortunately my dog can not move fast this left us in a vulnerable position, thankfully the car went around me on the wrong side of road. Can I suggest better lighting and a push button crossing. I know we are at the mercy of car drivers but we should have control and be safe. I know parents have had issues in the past when picking children up and car drivers not stopping. Please don’t wait until somebody is hurt.
