I have tried to report this but was told due to the benefits to the environment it can’t be removed..while I understand the benefits this single tree may have it is not the only one in this area the whole car park and flats are surrounded by these apple trees and as I stated in my previous report they are becoming hazardous, yesterday I went to take my bins out and slipped on a load of mushed up apples and my ankle is now twice the size and I’m struggling to get around ,I am sight impaired and have no vision in my left eye I find it extremely difficult to go outside while the trees are shedding as I’m scared of falling especially when it is dark ,the pavements where this tree is isn’t being swept and in all fair ness to keep the paths clear in a safe manor it would need to be swept more than once daily ,no only this but my carers car is also being pounded by apples ,and the smell is horrendous it smells like a cider farm right outside my window,I have an ongoing illness called cyclic vomiting syndrome which leaves me feeling very sick in the mornings and I have to have the window open but the smell that comes in from outside just makes me worse ,I already get admitted to hospital every month for this sickness and would feel a lot more calm and relaxed if I could open my window without it making me feel worse ..my point is there are several of these trees surrounding the flats and car parks I’m sure cutting one down won’t make a dramatic difference if it means the residents in the area feel safe enough to go out without slipping on these apples and falling ,it is particularly difficult for someone with vision impairment to see these apples on the floor and steps when it is dark ,please reconsider my reasons and your response ..many thanks
