Dangerous submerged drain
Reported in the Pothole category anonymously at 12:31, Sun 15 December 2019
Sent to Buckinghamshire Council 4 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1888980.
There is a very deep submerged blocked drain which I hit when going through the road-blocking puddle that covers the road. It feels like it damaged my suspension so the drain cover may have gone or been damaged but cannot be seen under the puddle which was the entire width of the road

This is now ridiculous. The submerged drain and puddle which are up to 25cms deep cover the entire lane when it rains. The water is spilling into the drive and house opposite and downhill, the water is eroding deeply into the bank on the uphill side, this will cause more material to slump into the hole, and the house directly facing can no longer use their front gate after rain. What are you doing to fix this, it has been over 6 months? This is no normal problem, the area covered is enormous, dangerous and it makes it difficult for pedestrians to pass the corner because they have to walk through water. There is no pavement there. The drain is solidly blocked to the grill with debris.

This is a photo taken days after it has rained. It has to be repaired, you cannot see the submerged drain for weeks after it rains.

Absolutely no news on the repair of this blocked drain. It is absolutely full to the brim and the minute it rains this will block the road again.

Photo of drain completely full of leaf and road debris. It will flood the whole road as soon as it rains. Photo or eroded bank on which a house sits, more and more debris from the bank slumps into the road after rain from wheel-wake across the puddle.

It rained yesterday and the entire road is flooded, going down the drive way every time a car goes through and stopping pedestrian access. Fix this blocked drain.

Still no update on this. The wide puddle forces cars going east to enter the blind bend on the wrong side of the road endangering the lives of drivers in oncoming cars and pedestrians who have to try and skirt the water. This is a serious issue and we don't want to look back at a fatality or serious injury and wonder why it was not repaired over many years. You are on notice.

The road was resurfaced last week and the new gravel now fills this blocked drain to the top. The moment it rains we shall have a puddle across the entirety of Forth Green Road again - may I point out again that this is a blind bend and traffic use it as a way through to Holtspur. This is dangerous for driver and pedestrians.
