Rocking manhole cover on A355
Reported in the Road surface category anonymously at 13:58, Mon 6 January 2020
Sent to Buckinghamshire Council 2 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1921403.
Rocking manhole cover on the southbound carriageway of the A355 Beaconsfield Road, Farnham Royal, near the junction with Farnham Park Lane. This has been reported before and I believe it was reported to BT by TfB, however nothing appeared to be done. Not all vehicles drive over it. It seems to be mainly HGVs that cause it to rock.

BT and Council have both inspected. BT advised repair could take about a month before being done. Should have been repaired when I first reported it a year ago. Rocking has become much worse in last few weeks. Noise is now loud and persistent - 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Despite numerous assurances by phone and email that work was due to be done by 29 February 2020, it wasn't. Emailed CEO of BT Openreach on 28 Feb and matter is now being dealt with by High Level Complaints, who also gave date of 29 February. Advised them work was not carried out - they don't seem to appreciate the annoyance the constant rocking noise is causing.
