Length of Amersham Road, Beacon schl to Copp Ln

Reported in the Sign problem category anonymously at 16:27, Tuesday 14 January 2020

Received by Buckinghamshire Council moments later

There is a complete absence of speed limit indication signs (30mph), let alone enforcement tools such as speed cameras. Many if not most drivers well exceed the speed limit on that stretch of road, and a good number to a very dangerous extent. There are side roads and lanes, and the situation is in my view a threat to life. From exiting the Copperkins Lane roundabout heading towards Chesham I am convinced many drivers believe they are on the open road, as they see just trees in from of them and no speed indication, and "put their foot down". North Road is a good example at the other extreme, numerous reminders of the speed limit and an "actual speed" indicator board. Anything on the Amersham Road would at least be a step in the right direction. The road is unnecessarily dangerous for the lack of some signage.
