Royal Standar Pub to Red House Close
Reported in the Road surface category anonymously at 09:14, Fri 17 January 2020
Sent to Buckinghamshire Council 2 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1943977.
During mid 2019 the Highways Department arranged for the reapir and resurfacing of the stretch of lane from the Royal Standard of England pub at Forty Green through to Red House Close at Knotty Green. I wish to bring to your attention that the granite chippings with which the lane was resurfaced have become dettached from the surfacing material over very large areas and sections of the lane. It would appear that the resurfacing operation was either conducted in an unsatisfactory manner or that substandard materials were utilised. Obviously, the resulting defect to the road surfacing needs addressing and presumably Bucks County Council have a claim against the contractors in respect of this situation. I am bringing this to your attention in the interests of road safety and the public funds that have been expended and are not yielding a proper result. I would be grateful to receive your opinions and proposed actions following your inspection.
