Failed road surface at junction of A4009 and Stablebridge Road Aston Clinton
Reported in the Road surface category anonymously at 10:10, Thu 6 February 2020
Sent to Buckinghamshire Council 5 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1982180.
There is a large area of deeply rutted road surface right in the path of vehicles pulling out of Stablebridge Road onto the A4009 towards Wendover. It is virtually impossible to miss this huge rut which causes your car to buck just as you are trying to turn right. At night and in the wet this is a particular hazard as traffic approaching from both directions at 40mph on the A4009 make it imperative to move swiftly. Driving through this area momentarily reduces your speed and control and in wet conditions can cause a wheel to skid. This is very dangerous as it could lead to a collision - particularly at rush hours when there is often little time or opportunity to make a decision to pull out due to heavy traffic on the A4009. This has been getting steadily worse over the past few weeks and is now a big danger. Please repair without further delay or you will be risking a major incident. Thank you.
