Unsafe road for pedestrians
Reported in the Sign problem category anonymously at 13:03, Thu 6 February 2020
Sent to Buckinghamshire Council 9 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1982616.
This crossing has been damaged for at least 8 months now. This stretch of road is heavily used by pedestrians including mothers with push chairs, a lot of young children from pre-school age until secondary school, cyclists, and of course motorised vehicles. With four (4) big schools in the area it is surprising that this stretch of road does not get road safety investment it requires e.g. 20 mph during school hours, zebra crossings, reminder it is 30 mph from the roundabout by the entrance to Marlow on Wycombe road. Drivers speed up Wycombe Road from the roundabout into Marlow. With the footpath in certain areas no more than 70cm wide! when there is a lamppost and no further protection people and a lot of young children are heavily exposed to the risk of motorised vehicles. The whole stretch from this crossing up wycombe road towards estate area needs reviewing.
