I'm currently working with Arla Foods with Logistics as QEHS Co-ordinator. We've re-ceived couple of complaints today as well as couple of previous similar complaints to raise concerns of traffic queues in College Road North following the recent re-opening of the waste recycling centre. As per our security's observation, the traffic has on occa-sions been queueing as far back as Samian Way, and that drivers are using the Gate-house 1 roundabout to turn around and join the queue. These queues are causing significant issues for our staff and HGV vehicles entering and leaving site.
Today, I've visited recycling centre site with Logistics Operation Manager, and spoken with present authority with regards to the situation. We've also captured some picture which have attached with this written application.
According to my view, this situation could increase the visibility issues and there were some situations to have poetical collusion or incident. Therefore, I would like to request the relevant authority to visit the area and see if anything can put in place to avoid fu-ture poetical situation for any type of hazardous incident.
Many Thanks in advance.
Best Regards, Logistics QEHS Co-ordinator
