The small post box opposite the St Scholastica's flats for elderly Catholics is well used by residents there and now by residents in Eaves Court (c 50 of the 70 apartments now occupied).

Received by Buckinghamshire Council moments later

I have received this request from a high profile resident in The Retreat

Residents cross the road to reach the postbox and the absence of dropped kerbs is making things difficult for the large number who are unsteady on their feet or who use walking frames or wheelchairs. Today I saw one lady almost fall into the road as she stepped down from the tiny tarmac area by the post box. She told me that she had seen people in wheelchairs struggling to get the wheels up from or down into the road.

Is this something that you could take up. Given the large number of elderly and frail people now living at that end of The Retreat, a dropped kerb either side of the road and a slightly larger tarmac area would seem to me to be a reasonable request.
