Please find attached correspondence below regarding dangerous trees in Grassingham End. We have contacted the Council as believe they are a severe danger now to pedestrians and property. In which they have told us to contact you directly. Please find email and pictures as follows:
To Whom It May Concern,
Please find attached pictures of dangerous trees that have split and fallen onto the pathway in Grassingham End, SL9 OBP. There are two very large branches that have completely split and are ready to come down. I am very concerned as if they fall on someone it will be very serious.
There are lots of other branches which completely block the pathway causing children and adults to have to walk in the middle of the road and the branches are starting to overhang the road now. The trees are totally out of control and I am also very concerned when they sway in the wind that they will crash down on vehicles and property.
I have spoken to the owner of the property of 11 Grassingham Road who stated that she contacted the council a few years back and was told she wasn't allowed to remove them. I asked if she would arrange for someone to come and maintain them due to the danger and she said it was really a council issue. I told her I would send an email and pictures in to you for your attention.
I hope you will look into this as you can see from the pictures how dangerous these trees have become.
Many thanks Jackie Strevens, 1 Grassingham End.
