Damaged Council verge
Reported in the Kerb damage / issue category anonymously at 16:02, Thursday 2 July 2020
Received by Buckinghamshire Council moments later
In 2017 the council verge to no. 22 Horton Road was run over by a bus trying to pass a stationary refuse coll. vehicle. This effectively destroyed approx 25 - 30 cm of verge. This was not replaced when Horton Rd. was resurfaced. In the past week further damage was done to the remaining verge. The damp area on the second photo is water erupting from below ground.

Nothing has been done to repair the verge and within a few hours of the barriers being removed, further damage was done. Anglian water excavated road looking for a non existing leak. The surface water was caused by underground erupting onto the surface. Not uncommon in this area of Horton Road. See image sent on 2/7/20 showing a patch in the Tarmac from a previous occurrence. Whilst Anglian Water were excavating, water could be seen running into the hole from one side approx 30cm below the road surface. There is a history of underground water erupting in this area of Horton Road over many years. What now is happening to both water which I think is still erupting and the damaged verge ? There is a problem in this area of Horton Road caused by increased traffic/speed approaching a blind bend around No. 18
