Pavement at both exit points to 62 Ledborough Lane, Beaconsfield, HP9 2DG

Reported in the Footpath / pavement problem category anonymously at 13:20, Friday 3 July 2020

Received by Buckinghamshire Council moments later

Reference 40128274. Failed Pavement Area 1 as at 03/07/20: 307cm long by 50cm wide x 9-10cm deep. Failed Pavement Area 2 as at 03/07/20: 320cm long x 127cm x 7cm deep. I have repeatedly reported the failed areas (first reported 24/07/2015 reference 46001634, followed up 30/03/16). The areas are now both dangerous for pedestrians with the potential for serious injury and damaging for any vehicle passing over them. In the recent case I reported that my own daughter's buggy tipped towards to the road whilst allowing other very young children to pass by. The underside of my daughter's own car now badly scrapes on the failed area due to the depth of the holes as she enters and exists our driveway. Despite pavement specialists working on Ledborough Lane in the recent June 2020 works the repairs were not done at the same time. As of today's date we have no alternative but to now hold the highways agency/bucks county council liable for any damage to my daughter's vehicle, and any new damage to the suspension or tyres or other damage to any of our own or visiting vehicles. Your email reply of 25 February 2020 indicated that we would receive updates regarding any repairs. We received none. Your email of 3 March 2020 stated that we had already been contacted and the case was now closed. If no action is taken then we will unfortunately be forced to seek legal advice.
